PRIMARY PURPOSE :
- We seek a Controller based in our Manila office, tasked with overseeing our financial function based in Manila, with a focus on transactional accounting along with broader support for financial operations. This role is critical for supporting our operations in Australia, particularly during month-end close and reporting cycles.
- This role is responsible for leading accounts payable and accounts receivable operations across the Perfection Fresh Group, while also supporting the wider finance team as required. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial transactions, while driving process improvement and system optimisation. The role will lead a team of two direct reports and six indirect reports and will work closely with internal stakeholders to support operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership and Operational Oversight :
Lead and manage the offshore transactional finance team, including AP and AR functions.Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, payments, and reconciliations.Monitor team performance and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Support the wider finance team during month-end close and with reporting, analysis, audit preparation and reconciliations as required.Oversee bank reconciliations and cash application processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Lead onboarding and training for new team members to ensure consistency and compliance.Actively contribute as a member of the senior finance leadership team, supporting strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.Process Improvement and Systems :
Identify and implement improvements to transactional processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Support system upgrades and integration projects, particularly within Dynamics and IronBarkCollaborate with IT and finance teams to optimise workflows and reporting capabilities.Compliance and Controls :
Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and relevant financial regulations.Ensure relevant balance sheet reconciliations are prepared, reviewed, and updated at least monthly, maintaining financial discipline and integrity.Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and fraud prevention controls.Manage vendor and customer master data integrity in collaboration with IT and procurementSupport audit processes and provide documentation as required.Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across all transactional systems.Reporting and Analysis :
Provide regular reporting on AP and AR performance, aged receivables / payables, and exceptions.Support the Group Financial Controller with insights into transactional trends and risks.Stakeholder Engagement :
Collaborate with farm managers, commercial teams, and operations to resolve transactional issues, improve processes and support financial performance.Liaise with the Financial Controller to align Manila team outputs with broader finance objectives.Support external relationships with suppliers and customers as required.essential requirements
