QA QC Civil Engineer

Job Summary :

The QA / QC (Quality Assurance / Quality Control) Civil Engineer is responsible for ensuring that construction work meets all quality standards, specifications, and industry codes. This role involves overseeing construction processes, conducting inspections, reviewing materials and workmanship, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

Quality Assurance (QA) :

Develop and implement project-specific quality plans and procedures.

Review contract specifications, drawings, and relevant standards to establish QA measures.

Ensure all materials, workmanship, and construction activities comply with specifications and codes.

Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure delivered materials and equipment meet quality standards.

Quality Control (QC) :

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality.

Perform tests on materials (e.g., concrete, soil, steel) to ensure compliance.

Identify non-conformance issues and ensure corrective / preventive actions are implemented.

Maintain records of inspections, test results, and other QA / QC documentation.

Prepare daily and weekly quality reports for internal and client use.

Documentation & Compliance :

Maintain and archive project documentation such as inspection reports, test reports, and calibration records.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 or other applicable quality management systems.

Assist in preparing Method Statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and other quality-related documentation.

Coordination & Communication :

Work closely with the construction team, consultants, and clients to resolve quality issues.

Participate in internal and external audits.

Train site staff on QA / QC procedures and best practices.
