This is a remote position.
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 30 PM Pacific Time (1-hour unpaid break)
Total Weekly Hours : 40 hours
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper with at least 3 years of experience to join their growing team. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting operations for multiple client accounts — including A / P, A / R, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate is comfortable switching between multiple client files, managing deadlines, and communicating directly with clients via email to ensure their books remain accurate and up to date. Responsibilities
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
Record customer payments from multiple sources (ACH, checks, bank deposits)
Process vendor bills, receipts, and employee reimbursements
Monitor A / R aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices
Ensure accurate syncing across QBO, client CRMs, and banking platforms
Bookkeeping & Financial Management
Perform monthly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
Maintain a clean and accurate chart of accounts for multiple entities
Record journal entries for depreciation, amortization, and payroll adjustments
Track owner draws, shareholder loans, and other equity transactions
Prepare and analyze cash flow statements to forecast upcoming needs
Generate budget vs. actuals reports to track performance
Create and maintain sales forecast reports to support growth planning
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with filing local and state tax reports (sales tax, payroll tax, etc.)
Payroll & HR Support
Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing, including commissions and bonuses
Maintain payroll calendars and benefit deduction records
Reconcile payroll liabilities and ensure compliance with regulations
Administrative & Team Support
Collaborate with internal teams to support financial and operational workflows
Maintain organized digital files for client documents, tax notices, and legal records
Assist the Office Manager and Controller with accounting and administrative projects
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience (multi-client or high-volume preferred)
Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Familiarity with payroll platforms (e.g., Nextep, ADP, Gusto)
Comfortable with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
Strong English written and verbal communication skills
Solid understanding of A / P, A / R, collections, and payroll processing
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Must pass a background check

Knowledge of GAAP and small business accounting practices
