- Monday to Friday, between, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM (Flexible) Pacific
- 20 hrs / week (4 hrs per day)
About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and detail-oriented Video Editor – Medical Content Specialist who can deliver influencer-level content quality with minimal supervision. This role requires someone who can take raw video and audio files and immediately know what to do—no hand-holding, no repeated guidance, and no basic explanations required.
The ideal candidate must have strong technical editing expertise, creativity, and the ability to produce polished, professional content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms. Social media management experience is equally important as video editing, and candidates must be confident in handling both responsibilities at a high standard.
Key Responsibilities :
Long-Form & Short-Form Video Production :
Edit 1–2 long-form educational videos per week (5–14 minutes) for YouTube.Produce 2–4 short-form videos weekly (1–3 minutes) tailored for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.Create multiple 30–45 second reels or story clips optimized for engagementAdvanced Editing & Creative Enhancements :
Edit multi-camera footage confidently and professionally (multiple camera angles are required—this is non-negotiable).Deliver video quality comparable to leading YouTube influencers, using the client’s existing smartphone footage and audio fileApply advanced editing techniques, including :
Seamless cutaways and transitionsDynamic layered graphicsProfessional overlays, text, and bullet pointsClean color correction and audio balancingReview raw files independently and know exactly what steps to take without needing detailed instructions.Branding, Formatting & Quality Consistency :
Export content in multiple aspect ratios (YouTube 16 : 9, Instagram square / reels, TikTok vertical).Maintain a cohesive and polished visual identity across all platforms.Ensure editing quality is consistent, sharp, and free from errors such as spelling mistakes, rough cuts, or sloppy transitions.Social Media Management :
Plan, schedule, post, and optimize content across major social platforms.Understand audience engagement strategies and best practices for each platform.Assist with captions, hashtags, content calendars, and overall channel growth strategy.File Management & Collaboration :
Must use Dropbox for file sharing and project management (Google Drive will not be used).Collaborate with the client during scheduled hours for real-time feedback.Communicate proactively about timelines, revisions, and deliverables.Requirements :
Proven experience producing influencer-level, high-quality video content (portfolio required).Strong ability to edit multi-camera setups without difficulty or complaint.Advanced proficiency with editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).Experience in motion graphics, graphic overlays, and educational content editing.Strong social media management background (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently deliver clean, error-free work.Must be highly self-sufficient, resourceful, and able to work with minimal supervision.Dropbox proficiency required.Independent Contractor Perks
