Overview
We are partnering with a leading financial institution to find a transformational leader to head their Infrastructure Division within the Information Technology Group.
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing enterprise infrastructure to ensure reliable, scalable, secure, and high-performing IT systems. You will guide both tactical execution and long-term strategy, leading department heads across multiple infrastructure domains.
Responsibilities
- Oversee evaluation, selection, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise infrastructure.
- Drive infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, performance tuning, and modernisation.
- Lead divisional strategy aligned with the organisation’s technology and business objectives.
- Manage teams across systems, databases, and network administration functions.
- Ensure high availability, security, and integrity through robust preventive maintenance and protection measures.
- Champion modernisation efforts such as virtualization, cloud adoption, consolidation, and outsourcing.
- Optimise infrastructure spend while maximising value through strategic vendor partnerships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.Proven expertise in managing complex IT environments including servers, storage, network, and security systems.Strong knowledge of infrastructure architecture, performance management, and capacity planning.Deep understanding of modern technologies including cloud, virtualization, automation, and standardisation.Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).Relevant certifications (ITIL, CISSP, AWS, Azure, VMware, CCNP / CCIE) are a strong advantage.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence C-level stakeholders, and manage large-scale transformation projects.Experience in budget oversight and vendor negotiation.What’s On Offer
