Contract : Independent Contractor
Schedule : 20+ hours per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (6.5 hours / day) flexible within Australian Time Zone

Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to insurance companies to inquire about unpaid invoices
- Document responses and feedback from insurance case managers
- Note down specific issues or reasons for unpaid claims (e.g., “invoice not received”)
- Handle high-volume batches of outstanding invoices that require follow-up
- Handle inbound calls and basic medical reception duties
- Create documentation based on insurance company responses to guide future actions
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies.
- Verify patients' insurance coverage and obtain authorizations when necessary.
- Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information.
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframes.
- Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount.
- Resolve billing issues and respond to inquiries from patients and insurance companies.
- Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and policies.
- Keep records of patient billing information and payment status.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely billing.
