The RF DSP Engineer is responsible for developing Soft IP products for RF signal processing applications.
This role requires expertise in RF systems and familiarity with digital design (DSP in particular), focusing on creating efficient, high-performance, and scalable soft IP for integration into custom FPGA / ASIC solutions.
A deep understanding of the RF front-end architecture is required, as well as familiarity and willingness to learn DSP and digital design.
Key Responsibilities :
direct digital converters, sample rate converters, modulators, filters) from provided high-level specifications; perform RF modeling and simulation; and, implement the designs into RTL code.
Key Qualifications Master’s in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field RF related thesis or dissertation RF Design : Strong background in Mathematics and Physics, especially electromagnetic concepts.
Strong foundation in RF Front End (e.g.
LNA, Filters, PA, LO) Proficiency in RF systems design concepts such as frequency translation, modulation, and filtering Knowledge of signal integrity, noise performance, and system-level trade-offs in RF systems.
Familiarity with RF communications protocols (e.g.
LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi) is a plus.
Digital design capability is a plus EDA Tools : Experience in using tools such as MATLAB, Cadence, and Synopsys EDA.
Familiarity in using FPGA development environments, such as Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus including associated tools for hardware simulation and debugging, is a plus Language & Methodology : Familiarity with hardware description languages (HDL) such as VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog.
