Position Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Executive Assistant to join our electrical contracting company. This entry-level position requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex follow-up tasks with various jurisdictions regarding permits, inspections, and compliance requirements. As the first point of contact for our customers, this role supports our sales team in maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring smooth daily operations. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Primary Responsibilities
Customer Communication
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally, directing them to appropriate team members or handling inquiries directly
- Respond to customer emails in a timely and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and consultations for the sales team
- Follow up with potential clients and maintain communication logs
CRM Management
Update and maintain customer information in the company's CRM systemInput new leads and opportunities into the databaseTrack customer interactions and communication historyGenerate regular reports on customer inquiries and lead statusEnsure data accuracy and completeness in the CRM systemSales Support
Qualify incoming leads according to established criteriaSupport the sales team with administrative tasks and documentationCoordinate with project managers on project updates and timeline changesAssist in preparing sales proposals and quotesMaintain organized filing systems for contracts and project documentationAdministrative Duties
Manage general office email inboxTrack and follow up with various jurisdictions regarding permits, inspections, and compliance requirementsMaintain detailed records of all jurisdiction communications and deadlinesResearch and stay updated on jurisdiction-specific requirements and processesCoordinate internal team meetings and maintain calendarsProcess and distribute incoming mail and correspondenceMaintain office supplies and equipmentAssist with basic bookkeeping tasks as neededRequirements
Required Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferredExceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate recordsStrong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlinesExperience with or ability to quickly learn jurisdiction-specific requirements and proceduresProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent follow-up and tracking abilitiesBasic understanding of customer service principlesAbility to multitask and prioritize effectivelyProven track record of meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate documentationPreferred Qualifications
