Required Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree (Ph.D., D.B.A., Ed.D.) in Entrepreneurship (e.g., management, marketing, finance, strategy, etc.) or related field from an AACSB accredited business school or equivalent accreditation.
  • ABD will be considered if the degree is conferred by the start of the contract. If the successful candidate is ABD at the time of hire, the appointment will be made at the Assistant level on a fixed contract.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated potential to build a successful record of publications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one of the following areas : Entrepreneurial mindsetEntrepreneurial skills, competencies, expertise, or practiceStartup financeDifferentiation, growth, and scalingSustainable entrepreneurshipTechnology commercialization
  • Experience working with student co-curricular events and activities related to entrepreneurship.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues outside your discipline.
  • Familiarity with experiential learning techniques in entrepreneurship.
  • Experience successfully mentoring student business ideas.
  • Experience working with members of an entrepreneurial ecosystem beyond the campus.
  • For candidates with doctoral or other other terminal degrees that are not AACSB accredited, 5 years of significant entrepreneurial experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of major concepts, assumptions, debates, processes of inquiry, and ways of knowing that are central to the discipline(s).
  • Understanding how to use digital and interactive technologies for efficiently and effectively achieving specific learning goals.
  • Knowledge of critical thinking processes and understanding how to help learners develop high level questioning skills.
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of inquiry-based instructional models and strategies.
  • Knowledge and ability to use technology in various teaching modalities (e.g. Face-to-face, synchronous online or asynchronous online).
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction, resulting in improved student learning.

    Appointment will be made on a 9-month multi-year appointment basis available as early as January 2025.
