We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The role is pivotal in driving insurance product enhancements, process optimizations, and system implementations, ensuring that each initiative is strategically designed, thoroughly tested, and successfully deployed within our core insurance platform.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of insurance operations and product structures across life, non-life, and health insurance, with proven experience in end-to-end system implementation, including requirements gathering, documentation, deployment, testing, and post-implementation support. Key Responsibilities
Business and Product Analysis
- Collaborate with business users to capture product requirements, system limitations, and objectives
- Perform gap analysis between business needs and existing system functionalities
- Document and maintain business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Recommend improvements to enhance product offerings and system capabilities
System Implementation and Integration
Participate in core system configuration, product setup, and integration with peripheral systems (billing, claims, CRM)Ensure new or enhanced insurance products are accurately mapped and tested before go-liveSupport system migration, data conversion, and validation activitiesCollaborate with developers, QA, and UAT teams to meet business specificationsProject Support and Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as liaison between business units, IT, and vendors to ensure alignment across project stagesContribute to project planning, documentation, and implementation timelinesConduct walkthroughs, training, and knowledge transfer for end-users and stakeholdersProvide post-deployment monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiativesReporting and Compliance
Prepare regular project and status reports for managementEnsure adherence to regulatory and audit requirements in the insurance industryMaintain accurate documentation and version control of business and system requirementsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science;Master’s degree or relevant certification (PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma, Agile / Scrum) is a plus3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in insurance or financial servicesStrong knowledge of insurance products, policy administration, claims, billing, and underwriting processesProven experience in core insurance system implementation or migration (e.g., LifeAsia, Guidewire, TCS BaNCS, Oracle Insurance)Familiarity with business process modeling, workflow design, and system integrationExcellent analytical, documentation, and communication skillsStrong stakeholder management with the ability to balance business and technical prioritiesProficiency in JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Power BI, or equivalent toolsPreferred Qualifications
Professional certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) or Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner)Hands-on experience in data analysis, API integration, or testing coordinationBackground in project or change management within an insurance environmentExperience working with cross-functional or regional teamsSkills & Competencies
