About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled 3D Image Conversion Specialist to transform high-resolution 2D portrait images into 3D bas-relief point cloud models for subsurface crystal engraving. This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of image processing, 3D modeling, and precision formatting for laser engraving systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert 2D images (JPEG / PNG) into 3D point cloud models with raised facial features (bas-relief effect)
- Enhance image clarity and contrast to optimize depth and detail in final output
- Ensure compatibility of point cloud files with engraving machine formats (e.g., OBJ)
- Scale and align models to match crystal dimensions (e.g., 5cm cube)
- Perform quality checks and deliver engraving-ready files for production
Qualifications
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, MeshLab, or equivalent)Experience with point cloud generation and manipulationFamiliarity with subsurface laser engraving or similar precision manufacturing processesStrong attention to detail and ability to meet formatting specificationsAbility to work independently and manage multiple image conversions efficientlyPreferred Skills
