You will play a key role in preparing detailed bills of quantities, handling contract administration, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage bills of quantities, cost estimates, and financial reports for infrastructure projects.
- Analyze project designs and specifications, assessing quantities and preparing accurate pricing.
- Perform cost planning, monitoring, and control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Cooperate with project teams and stakeholders to provide cost insights and guidance on contracts.
- Conduct valuations and measurements of work completed, preparing payment applications and financial statements.
- Assist in procurement activities, evaluating bids, and providing recommendations for contractor selection.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, construction costs, and regulations impacting the infrastructure sector.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.A minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on infrastructure projects.Thorough knowledge of construction contracts, procurement practices, and cost management.Proficient in quantity surveying software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., RICS, CIQS) is considered an asset.
