Job Overview : The Loan Application Processor is responsible for assessing, verifying, and preparing loan applications in accordance with Australian lending regulations and lender policies. This role ensures accurate documentation, efficient processing, and exceptional customer service throughout the loan application lifecycle.
This person must have hands-on experience working with Australian lenders, credit policies, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess loan applications to ensure all required information and supporting documents are complete and comply with Australian lending requirements.
- Verify applicant information, including income, employment, liabilities, credit history, and identification (KYC / AML checks).
- Order and review third-party reports, such as credit reports, property valuations, employment verification, and bank statements.
- Liaise with customers, brokers, lenders, and internal teams to obtain missing information and clarify documentation.
- Prepare loan files for submission to lenders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to credit policies.
- Maintain compliance with Australian regulatory requirements, including NCCP, ASIC guidelines, and responsible lending obligations.
- Track and manage applications through the approval pipeline, providing regular updates to applicants and stakeholders.
- Identify inconsistencies or potential risks and escalate concerns to credit assessors or management.
- Support customers by explaining loan products, application status, and documentation requirements (within compliance boundaries).
- Maintain accurate records in myCRM and loan processing systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related fieldExperience with myCRM loan processing platform is requiredExperience processing loans in Australia (mortgage, personal, auto, or commercial lending) is requiredStrong knowledge of Australian lending regulations, responsible lending obligations, and lender credit policiesFamiliarity with Australian financial documentation such as payslips, BAS, NOA, bank statements, and trust structuresExcellent communication and customer service skillsHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and documentation skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systemsBenefits
