Back end Mobile App Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a

Backend Mobile App Developer   to join our fast-growing ecommerce team. You will work closely with our CTO and designers to develop, maintain, and deploy mobile applications used by our customers and internal teams. You will be the main executor for development tasks while working with existing product frameworks.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using PHP and related frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.), or other modern backend technologies as needed.

• Create and manage RESTful APIs for seamless integration with mobile and web front ends.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to define API contracts and ensure smooth data exchange.
• Manage databases (e.g., MySQL, Firebase) to store and retrieve users and nutrition data efficiently.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services (e.g., nutrition databases, image recognition services) as required.
• Ensure backend systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend performance and scalability.
• Maintain technical documentation for backend systems, APIs, and database schemas.
• Implement automated testing, CI / CD pipelines, and deployment automation to streamline releases.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define functional requirements and deliver robust backend solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, security practices, and backend development tools.
• Communicate progress and technical constraints with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with AngularJS, PHP, and Ionic Framework is required.Understanding of mobile-first design and responsive UI principles. Experience working with RESTful APIs, MySQL, or Firebase is a bonus. Good command of English communication – verbal and written. Comfortable using GitHub, Bitbucket, or other version control systems. Proactive attitude – able to work independently and solve problems creatively.Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies is a bonus. Past experience deploying apps to Google Play Store or Apple App Store is a plus. Bonus if you’ve worked with Shopify / WIX, though not necessary.
