Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Data & Analytics Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a deep expert in the Microsoft Azure Data Platform, responsible for designing, building, and optimizing our next-generation data warehousing and analytics solutions. This role is critical for transforming raw data into high-value, AI-ready assets, ensuring data quality, performance, and accessibility for business intelligence and machine learning applications.

Required Skills

• Agile Delivery : Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Design and Optimization : Architect, build, and maintain highly scalable and fault-tolerant ETL / ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Synapse Pipelines.
• Data Warehousing : Lead the development, maintenance, and performance tuning of the data warehouse environment within Azure Synapse Analytics, specifically managing dedicated SQL pools for petabyte-scale data.
• Modeling : Apply expert knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques (star and snowflake schemas) to create robust, clean, and efficient data models.
• Semantic Layer : Develop optimized semantic layers and consumption models specifically tailored for reporting and visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• AI Readiness : Collaborate with data scientists to implement data preparation, cleansing, and feature engineering processes to ensure data assets are high-quality and "AI ready."
• Data Transformation : Utilize expert-level T-SQL skills to write, optimize, and manage complex queries, stored procedures, and functions necessary for large-scale data transformation and loading.
• Data Ingestion : Establish and manage efficient data ingestion strategies for diverse, high-volume sources into Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), ensuring proper organization and indexing.

Bachelors in a Technical Discipline – Computer Science, Mathematics, or Data Science

Years of Experience

5+ years of experience or more

Clearance

Ability to obtain Public Trust High required
