The Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) reports to the CEO and is responsible for leading strategic direction and oversight of the Renewable Energy development and use of new technology in alignment with the Company’s business strategy.
The position is mainly responsible for :
- The Chief Business Development Officer’s role is to identify, screen, select and develop Renewable Energy generation projects as well as the complementary roles technology can play in facilitating the commercializing of these opportunities and finding new markets for the business.
- The role will have an oversight of the overall Renewable Energy project development opportunities and the identification of new and unique commercial use for RE and new Tech.
- Business Development
- Owns the development and acquisition RE capacity projects and new tech projects within the Philippines.
- Prepares strategies for greenfield / brownfield developments, acquisitions and partnerships.
- Drives the development of projects from initial concept up to feasibility study phase.
- Works closely with the stakeholders and business group to provide support to
- Oversees the studies, reviews and analysis of new energy technologies in determining commercial viability.
- Participate in industry groups (e.g. hydro, solar, regulatory) and trade shows to gain an inside knowledge on the direction the industry is heading and to influence the outcomes and strategy of these groups.
- Provide critical inputs to the Organizations RE strategy, incorporating solutions using new technology for problems in the market.
- Hires and manages consultants and advisors to assist in evaluating transactions or projects.
- Monitor, control and prepare reports on risk and opportunities.

At least (5) years’ experience within the power industry in business development, project delivery or marketing, with (7) years in executive level position.Education
