LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE HEAD to join our growing team!
The Head for Legal and Compliance Department will provide legal leadership to his department and across the business. He shall give proactive, in-depth, legal, and business-focused advice as well as implement initiatives and processes to set standards and reinforce a culture of integrity, quality, ethical behavior and responsibility across the business.
Qualifications
- Must have earned a degree of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.)
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Must be a passer of the Philippine Bar Examination and currently licensed to practice law in the Philippines
- 3 - 5 years’ proven experience
- Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness
- Ability to multi-task
- Team player, with a positive work attitude, and good interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills, adaptable and pro-active
- Can start immediately
- Amenable to report on-site (Ortigas Pasig)
Core Responsibilities
Draft and review various agreements, contracts, and other legal instrumentsProvide practical legal advice for the company operations and business arrangementsProvide advice regarding any dispute resolution matters, regulatory or compliance matters, taxation, mergers, acquisitions, special projects, licensing considerations, corporate structures, and etc.Liaising and managing external counsels as and when requiredUnderstand how the business is conducted across the various markets to have context on the purpose of our various agreementsIdentify best practice contract structuresManage internal governance document reviews, such as board papers, contract checklists or related-party documentsMonitor any updates on the laws and regulations relevant to the businessLiaise and deal with government agencies and regulatory bodiesHandle special projects and investments of the company or its affiliatesSupport other functions or teams in the day-to-day operations of the companyOther functions that may be assigned by the Immediate Superior from time to time and as necessarySalary
Php80,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per month
