It has the three-fold objective of improving the performance of electric utilities, increasing the deployment of advanced energy sources and systems, and improving the energy procurement process.

Hence, USAID ESP Activity is engaging the services of a part-time Field Supervisor to support the work in the collection of GIS data.

The Field Supervisor is expected to be flexible, accessible, and communicative during this time.

Reports To : USAID ESP Chief of Party (COP)

• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

All staff members of RTI, regardless of the level of their responsibilities are expected to model RTI's mission, vision, and values.

• Team Organizing and Logistics :
• The Field Supervisor will be organizing the Field Enumerator team according to the survey route and plan, provided by the Field Coordinator (GIS Assistant).

He / she will brief the Field Enumerator of his / her team on each day's plan and make sure they understood their task accordingly.

• The Field Supervisor will prepare the list of all materials and logistics required for his team to conduct the survey work and approach to The Field Coordinator for collecting them.
• Mobilizing Field team :
• The Field Supervisor will arrange the transportation up-to drop or pickup point for the Enumerator team where it is necessary.
• The Field Supervisor will help and guide the Enumerator to overcome any confusion arises in the field or data collection process.

The Field Supervisor will contact the Field Coordinator in case it is an urgent or critical issue that needs the Field Coordinator's attention.

• Monitoring and Quality Checking :
• Regular monitoring of the field activity for each of his / her team members and providing them guidance, so that they get the motivation and keep alert on their task.
• For data quality checking, the Field Supervisor should select some sample area surveyed on previous day by each of his / her Field Enumerator and conduct quality checking investigation randomly in the field to ensure following aspect of collected data :
• Completeness of collected data, means the data is not missing any segment or any pole or equipment in a specific sample area.

In terms of consumer census survey, no customer should be left out from field surveys.

• Correctness of collected data, means the electric system properties should be recorded appropriately, for example conductor size, type, transformer size or phase is collected accurately.

In case of consumer survey, information like meter number, tagged pole number and other data related to the respective consumer is appropriate or not misguided.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar field required
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar field preferred
• Preferably a resident in General Santos City

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Minimum of Seven (7) years of experience in Electrical project implementation.
• In depth knowledge on distribution asset of electric utility
• Working knowledge of Android mobile data collection including design Qfield, ODK or similar software.
• Ability to lead and support field teams for data collection processes.
• Ability to work independently without significant oversight required.
