Job description

SOFTWARE QUALITY ENGINEER II

LexisNexis Quality Engineering is transforming into a DevOps oriented Automation centric organization. In order to deliver high quality software with speed to market in mind, we are looking for experienced, smart, and driven individuals who will help us deliver excellent products. This could include working in new technologies such as Selenium, Java, Cucumber, BDD framework, and Continuous Integration environment with proven experience in automation scripting driving efficiencies into day-to-day processes. The candidate is responsible for the design and implementation of a solution that can automate accessing and interacting with web services-based interfaces, along with driving other emulation software that tests certain aspects of our product.

Key Responsibilities

Implement QA methodology, strong knowledge and proven capability for process improvement
Software Development in the latest version of Java / Cucumber / Selenium stack.
Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment using GitLab CI and Cloud based environments.
Contribute to a peer reviewed codebase.
Design, develop, refine, and utilize DevOps tools.
Evolve automated test framework to achieve higher test throughput, increased accessibility and test execution flexibility
Will need to come up to speed quickly on highly complex and highly configurable product and understand the supporting technologies behind it.
Analyze existing systems to find areas for improvement
Able to multi-task and adapt quickly
Ability to independently time manage and deliver to deadlines.

Education / Experience

3-5+ years of QA Test Engineering / Software Engineering / DevOps experience.

At least a bachelor's degree.

Experience with developing / automating software for web services.

Technical Skills

3-5 years of strong hands-on experience with Java or Cypress and Selenium WebDriver (at least knowledge / training with BDD approach using Karate and Cucumber; experience is a plus)

3+ years of experience with CI systems, including GitHub, Cucumber, Karate, Gherkin, Maven, JIRA , and key programming languages and technologies, including Java or Cypress .

Experience with Scrum / Kanban / SaFe, Agile workflow methodologies

At least 1-2 years, experience with Appium for mobile testing

Atleast 1-2 years -Experience with administering application servers, Web servers, and databases, including MySQL, Postgres.

Strong knowledge of the entire SDLC – Requirement gathering & analysis, planning, design, development, testing, and implementation Solve technical challenges, which will result in shortening test cycles, increase product speed to market and improve the test frameworks, tools and technologies used by the organization.

Experience with Linux and UNIX platforms and monitoring tools preferred

Experience with CI systems, including Elastic Search, Kibana, Beats, Logstash, and key programming languages and technologies, including REST API, preferred.

Proficient Zephyr for test planning, execution, and defect tracking, preferred.

Knowledge and experience using SOAP services testing, and tools used such as Ready API / SoapUI Pro preferred.
