Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable Level 1 TSR (Technical Support Representative) to manage inbound support calls and ticket resolution for an Australian solar company.
This role focuses on technical support rather than bookings. You will be the first point of contact for customers experiencing issues with their solar systems, monitoring portals, or backup power functionality. Your responsibility is to assess issues, create and manage support tickets, troubleshoot where possible, and escalate or liaise with manufacturers when required.

Key Responsibilities
• Answer inbound customer calls relating to solar system performance and technical issues • Create, manage, and update support tickets accurately within the CRM/ticketing system • Access and review customers’ solar monitoring portals to identify faults or irregularities • Perform Level 1 troubleshooting for system alerts, connectivity issues, and performance concerns • Liaise with manufacturers regarding diagnostics, software updates, and warranty claims • Coordinate replacement parts and track warranty processes • Assist customers with monitoring portal login issues and provide guidance on how to use the platform • Support customers during blackout situations by guiding them through switching to backup power • Escalate complex technical matters to Level 2 or relevant internal teams where required • Maintain detailed documentation of all interactions and resolutions
Requirements
• Previous experience in a technical support, helpdesk, or customer service role • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Comfortable navigating web-based portals and technical dashboards • Excellent English communication skills with a clear and confident phone manner • Ability to explain technical information in simple, customer-friendly language • Strong attention to detail and process adherence • Ability to remain calm and reassuring when customers are experiencing system issues
