Leads Agile Development squads with autonomy and accountability across a number of projects/platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

• Supports 1-2 teams on a single backlog (AMS or PSS)
• Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different projects, different cultures, co located vs. distributed, etc). Coaches different levels of hierarchy through agile principles & practicesConducts Agile Events, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews and retrospectivesEducates the squads on the adoption of Agile practices and identifies Agile Team improvement opportunities.- Focuses squads on value creationIdentifies obstacles to team/s performance; facilitates resolution and escalates where necessaryActively participates in sprints and partners with Product Owners to enable the delivery of prioritized features- Reinforces target agile behaviorsActs as a servant leader to the team (not the ‘bossʼ)Proactively provides real-time feedback to keep delivery on track and address issues as they arise
• Member of the Scrum Master's CommunityRepresents Manulife values without failFacilitates and actively participates in MITDC LACE Agile events, CoP's, workshops and townhallsIdentifies obstacles to team performance; facilitates resolution and escalates where necessaryImplements to squad teams project initiated by the LACE team

Required Qualifications:

• At least 2-3 years with experience as a Scrum Master delivering complex technology solutions

• Strong working knowledge of key aspects of role

• Staying abreast of developments in own technical discipline and able to recognize and translate these to own working environments

• Possesses analytical skills and appreciates complex situations but only able to achieve partial resolution

• Knowledge of Agile planning and tracking tools

• Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcome

  SAFe Certifications (Leading SAFe, Advanced SM, RTE)PMP certificationsScrum Master CertificationInsurance Industry experienceITIL CertificationWorking knowledge of business intelligence, business process, and/or correspondence management platforms and integrating systems via API/web services.
