OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Business Development Specialist, preferably with a technical background (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, science) to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about combining their technical expertise with business development and sales skills. In this role, you will drive lead generation, manage CRM processes, execute targeted sales campaigns, and contribute to desk selling efforts. You will play a crucial role in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, building relationships, and supporting the sales team in converting leads into clients.
This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise with a passion for business development and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable with outbound lead generation techniques (cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach) and inbound lead qualification. The Business Development Executive will also be expected to manage CRM systems, track performance metrics, and continuously refine lead-generation strategies based on data and market trends.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and identify new potential leads through various channels, including online databases, social media platforms, industry events, and outbound prospecting techniques (e.g., cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach).
- Qualify inbound leads and conduct initial outreach to assess fit, interest, and potential for conversion. Use lead scoring systems to prioritize high-potential prospects.
- Maintain and update the CRM with accurate lead information, including contact details, lead status, and communication history.
- Conduct outbound lead generation through cold calling, email and social to engage with prospects and nurture leads through the sales funnel.
- Collaborate with the sales team to hand over qualified leads, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment on sales goals.
- Track and report on lead generation metrics (e.g., conversion rates, outreach response rates, etc.) to assess performance and optimize strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reach out to potential leads through email, phone calls, and social media to generate interest in the company’s products / services.Assess lead quality and readiness for sales engagement through initial discovery calls, using a lead scoring system to prioritize the most promising opportunities.Accurately log all lead information, communications, and interactions in the CRM system, ensuring up-to-date records and seamless data flow.Develop and execute personalized email sequences and outreach strategies to nurture relationships with leads and drive them through the sales funnel.Effectively transfer qualified leads to the sales team, providing context and insights from initial conversations to ensure a smooth transition and higher conversion rates.Other duties and assignments as assigned from time to time.EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.Strong understanding of lead generation tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, Salesforce).Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a persuasive and professional demeanor.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.Analytical mindset, with the ability to evaluate data and adjust strategies as needed.Proficiency in developing targeted sales campaigns and tracking their outcomes.Comfortable with outbound calling, emailing, and social selling techniques.Computer Skills : Proficient in Microsoft 365 business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power BI).
