HR Director

Our client is currently the leading paper manufacturer in the Philippines, providing the newsprint requirements of major local newspapers both broadsheets and tabloids.

Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role :

• Establish and lead an integrated HR Shared Services function for the entire group
• Standardize HR policies and processes across different business units while addressing specific needs
• Align HR strategy with overall business goals, including workforce planning and talent development
• Lead initiatives in organizational design, performance management, and employee engagement
• Oversee all core HR operations including recruitment, compensation, compliance, and labor relations
• Monitor and report on key HR metrics to drive data-informed decisions
• Recommend and implement a new HR system that seamlessly integrates with existing ERP platforms, optimize organizational structures, and lead the company through cultural transformation initiatives.
• Guide and develop the HR team across different companies within the group
• Support change management and culture-building programs across all levels
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or related field (Master’s or certifications are a plus)
• At least 10 to 15 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Senior-level HR experience, ideally at the Director level, within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong mix of strategic HR leadership and day-to-day operational experience
• In-depth knowledge of Philippine labor laws and compliance standards
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and people management skills.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to influence processes and foster effective interactions with senior management.
