You are to manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. You are responsible for financial reporting and analysis. You will develop and maintain accounting practices and procedures to ensure that all financial data are recorded properly according to accepted standards. You will oversee staff and be responsible for ensuring that all work is distributed and completed in an accurate and timely manner. You will develop and implement processes that facilitate collection, verifying, and reporting of all financial data.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively trains, supervises and mentors accounting staff. Maintains strong employee relationships.
- Ensures accurate and timely recording and reporting of all financial data according to Philippine Accounting Standards.
- Validates and monitors revenue and expenses.
- Monitors accounts payables, accounts receivable, cash receipts, disbursements and general ledger. Manages cash flow.
- Coordinates and prepares annual financial budget.
- Collaborates with other financial staff to support and enable department to meet overall goals and objectives.
- Develops and implements new processes and procedures to enhance the workflow and productivity of the department.
- Regulates internal controls to maintain financial security.
- Coordinates with external accountant and / or auditor for government reporting matters. Improves system and procedures; initiates corrective actions
- Protects company’s privacy, integrity and value by keeping information confidential.
- Uses educational and professional resources to enhance knowledge and skillset.
- Assists in ad hoc tasks when needed
Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant; Bachelor’s Degree in AccountingAt least 5 years supervisory experience in related field; experience in FMCG an advantageKnowledge of accounting principles, standards, regulations, laws and practices.Knowledge of tax compliance and other government reportorial requirementsAnalytical with high attention to detailsAdvanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office softwareKnowledge in Oracle Netsuite an advantageGood written and verbal communication skills
