Valuation Team Lead

As we continue to scale, we're looking for a Valuation Team Lead to guide our financial analysis operations and ensure our deal evaluations are rigorous, consistent, and strategically aligned.

Your Main Responsibilities You will oversee and support the financial analysis function, ensuring every valuation is thorough, compliant, and aligned with our acquisition strategy.

You will approve valuations, advise on deal structure, and train analysts to meet a high standard of financial accuracy and strategic thinking.

Your main day-to-day will include : Valuation Creation Coverage : Provide coverage for valuation model creation as needed.

Valuation Oversight : Review and approve valuation models based on industry norms, geographic nuances, and strategic fit.

Approval Criteria Enforcement : Apply internal criteria (e.g., decline valuations where regulatory or licensing gaps exist, such as non-licensed buyers for insurance agencies).

Strategic Deal Support : Advise acquisition and deal teams on appropriate offer terms based on valuation data.

Team Leadership : Assign valuation tasks and ensure consistent, high-quality output.

Training & Development : Coach and mentor valuation team members, share best practices, and continuously elevate the team's analytical capabilities.

You MUST Have : Strong accounting / finance background (CPA or similar credentials preferred) Extensive experience in business valuation, M&A, or financial analysis Ability to critically assess and approve valuations with minimal oversight Familiarity with small business dynamics and industry-specific valuation considerations Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration You SHOULD Have : 2+ years in a valuation, corporate finance, or M&A role Experience working with distributed or remote teams Familiarity with tools like Google Suite, Slack, and Notion.
