We are seeking a results-driven Merchandising Manager to lead and develop strategic merchandise planning and execution across our retail and online platforms. This role is responsible for product selection, visual merchandising, inventory control, and team management to drive sales growth and enhance the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate has a strong fashion sense, solid analytical skills, and a passion for creating compelling product assortments aligned with customer trends.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities :
1. Product Selection & Assortment Planning
- Develop and execute merchandise strategies based on market trends, sales data, and customer insights.
- Collaborate with the buying team to curate the right mix of products, sizes, and styles for both retail and e-commerce.
- Forecast sales and manage stock levels to ensure balanced and timely product availability.
2. Visual Merchandising & Store Layout
Oversee the visual presentation of products, ensuring alignment with brand standards and appeal to the target market.Coordinate with store design and visual teams to implement seasonal themes and promotional displays.Optimize product placement and store layout to enhance the shopping experience and maximize space utilization.3. Inventory & Stock Management
Monitor inventory turnover and plan replenishment to avoid overstocking or stockouts.Analyze sales performance and adjust merchandising plans accordingly.Work with operations and logistics to ensure efficient product distribution and timely delivery.4. Sales Analysis & Performance Monitoring
Track sales metrics and analyze product performance to refine merchandising strategies.Identify slow-moving items and implement markdown or promotional plans.Present regular reports on sales, stock levels, and merchandising outcomes to senior leadership.5. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
Lead and mentor the merchandising team to achieve departmental goals.Collaborate with marketing, operations, and retail teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution.Provide training and establish best practices for merchandising and visual standards.6. Market Trends & Competitor Analysis
Stay updated with fashion trends, market developments, and competitor activities.Conduct regular market visits and research to maintain competitive product offerings.7. Promotions & Seasonal Campaigns
Plan and implement promotional events, seasonal campaigns, and sales initiatives.Ensure timely setup and visibility of promotional merchandise in-store and online.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in merchandising within the fashion or manufacturing sector.Strong understanding of retail metrics, sales forecasting, and inventory management.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, retail systems, and merchandise planning tools.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.A keen eye for fashion trends, consumer behavior, and product aesthetics.
