We are building a dedicated Private Label division to complement our retail and distribution business. The Head of Private Label will own the strategy, P&L, and full product lifecycle of our in-house apparel lines—from everyday trademark products to seasonal cut & sew collections and brand collaborations. This is a leadership role that requires both strategic vision and operational execution, working closely with Marketing, Retail, and Distribution to bring exclusive products to market.
Responsibilities
- Set strategy and manage P&L for the Private Label division, including line planning, seasonal architecture, and budget oversight.
- Lead development of in-house apparel lines : Everyday Products (Trademark Line), Seasonal Cut & Sew, and Collaborations, ensuring on-trend and commercially viable assortments.
- Oversee sourcing and vendor management : identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international factories to secure quality, cost-efficient, and timely production.
- Direct product lifecycle management : from design briefing and sample approvals to bulk production and delivery.
- Ensure quality control by establishing standards, reviewing prototypes, and coordinating inspections prior to shipment.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Retail, and Distribution teams to synchronize launch calendars, promotional campaigns, and store rollouts.
- Monitor performance and profitability of private label SKUs, adjusting assortments and sourcing strategies to optimize sales, margins, and sell-through.
- Guide and mentor cross-functional teams to drive execution across categories and seasonal launches.
Qualifications
7–10 years of progressive experience in Product Development, Merchandising, or Sourcing within the apparel / fashion retail industry is a MUST .Proven track record in private label, in-house brand development, or large-scale product management for apparel.Strong background in vendor management, negotiations, and supply chain coordination, with experience working with both local and overseas manufacturers.Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, budgets, and margin targets for product categories.Experience in line planning and seasonal product architecture with a balance of basics, fashion, and collaborations.Knowledge of quality assurance processes (fit, fabric, trims, construction) and familiarity with compliance requirements.Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, able to work closely with marketing, retail, and distribution teams.Strong leadership skills with experience guiding product development, merchandising, or sourcing teams.Trend-aware and creative, with the ability to translate brand direction into commercially successful products.Bachelor’s degree in Fashion / Apparel Design, Business, Marketing, or a related field.Working Conditions
