Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Department Management
- Lead and supervise the Accounting Department, including Accounting Management Assistants, Specialists, and Supervisors.
- Establish departmental goals, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
- Provide mentorship and performance management for accounting staff.
Financial Management and Reporting
Oversee and review the preparation of complete and accurate financial statements.Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights for business decisions.Strategic Planning & Decision
Participate in management planning and budgeting processes.Provide recommendations for financial strategy, cost control, and profitability improvement.Support top management in long-term financial planning.Regulatory Compliance & Audit
Ensure adherence to tax laws, government reporting, and regulatory requirements.Oversee VAT computations, withholding taxes, and other BIR filings.Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors.Accounting Operations Oversight
Monitor daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Approve journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments prepared by staff.Ensure proper internal controls and risk management practices are in place.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with other department heads to support business operations.Provide financial advice and decision support to senior management.Represent the Accounting Department in management meetings.Required Qualifications
Graduate of BS Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Business Administration, or any related course.At least 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision‑making skills.Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving ability.Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage.Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is an advantage.Experience in a managerial role within medium to large enterprises.In‑depth knowledge of Philippine taxation, SEC compliance, and corporate governance.Exposure to ERP systems and financial planning tools.Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to strategic planning.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
