The Office of the Chief Financial Officer ensures the organization’s fiscal strength and sustainability by leading financial planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury, investments, risk, and compliance. It safeguards resources, monitors revenues and expenditures, and delivers accurate, transparent reporting to support informed strategic decisions.
The office collaborates with all departments to align financial activities with corporate priorities, manages funding and capital requirements, evaluates growth opportunities, and ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory standards. Working closely with the CEO and Board of Directors, it drives sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and strong fiscal governance.
Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic financial leadership to safeguard the company’s financial health and long-term sustainability. This role oversees all financial planning, management, and reporting activities while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
As a key member of the executive team, the CFO develops financial strategies, manages risk, secures funding, and optimizes resources to support growth and operational excellence. The CFO advises the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership on financial performance, investment opportunities, and risk management while driving financial discipline, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Key Accountabilities
DescriptionMetricsFinancial Planning & Strategy – Develop and implement financial strategies, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning; advise CEO & Board on financial implications of business decisions.Annual revenue growth vs. target; YoY EBITDA margin improvement. Financial Management & Compliance – Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting; maintain strong internal controls; implement finance policies; ensure statutory / regulatory compliance; conduct regular financial reviews and board reporting.Monthly close timeliness; % compliance with tax / reporting deadlines. Budget & Expense Management – Monitor revenues / expenses, align actual spending with budgets, and drive cost optimization.% cost savings; variance of actual vs. approved budget. Capital & Funding Management – Oversee capital structure, secure financing, manage investments, and optimize cost of capital.Funding secured on schedule; WACC below industry benchmark. Team Leadership & Development – Build and lead a high-performing finance team, foster accountability, and drive professional development.Finance team turnover; % of staff with development plans. Risk Management – Maintain enterprise risk framework, ensure insurance coverage, and lead annual risk assessments.Risk assessment completion / Board approval. Stakeholder & Investor Relations – Strengthen relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and regulators; provide timely and clear updates.% of stakeholder inquiries resolved on time; successful audit outcomes. Technology & Process Improvement – Implement finance systems and automation to improve efficiency and data integrity.Reduction in manual processing; uptime of financial systems. Treasury, Liquidity & Capital Management – Manage debt, refinancing, liquidity dashboards, and contingency planning.Debt-to-equity ratio; stress test completion. Fraud, Risk & Security Oversight – Lead fraud prevention, detection, investigation, and remediation; enforce cybersecurity and incident response governance.Avg. time to close fraud cases; % of suspicious transactions resolved. Regulatory & Compliance Reporting – Ensure timely, accurate financial and regulatory reports; oversee audit readiness and controls.% of reports on time; # of regulatory findings. Third-Party & Vendor Risk Governance – Oversee vendor risk, contracts, SLAs, and continuity planning.% of critical vendors with risk reviews; # of vendor incidents.
Job Authority & HSE Accountability
Supports company HSE initiatives and ensures continuity plans address safety, cyber resilience, and compliance.
Approves budgets, capital expenditures, and investments within policy and delegated limits.
Recommends strategic partnerships, divestitures, and capital allocation (subject to Board approval).
Decides on allocation of financial resources to support priorities and risk management.
Performs other duties as assigned by the President.
Physical & Mental Demands

Moderate physical demands : primarily office-based with occasional travel, meetings, and presentations.
Requires ability to work extended hours and irregular schedules when necessary.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (required).
Master’s degree (MBA or related field) preferred.
CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification (required).
Additional certifications in governance, risk management, or strategic finance (preferred).
Professional Experience
At least 20 years of progressive finance / accounting experience, including 10+ years in a senior leadership role.
Strong background in corporate finance, treasury, risk management, and compliance.
Exposure to fintech / financial services industry preferred.
