This is a remote position.

Financial Reporting & Compliance SpecialistSchedule :

  • 20 hrs / week
  • Work Schedule Mon–Thurs, 10 : 00 AM–3 : 00 PM MST

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled CPA to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established financial standards and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial databases, accounting software systems, and manual filing systems.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, comparing budgeted costs to actual costs, and identify variances.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
  • Provide strategic financial recommendations based on financial analysis
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Collaborate with management teams to provide data-driven financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Stay updated with the latest financial and tax regulations and ensure the company’s practices comply with statutory requirements.

    • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly Regarded Skills and Experience :
  • Experience in financial accounting for international or country-specific clients.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, MYOB, etc.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA).
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and standards of specific countries or regions.
  • Experience conducting internal and external audits.
