We are seeking an experienced Tekla Drafter to join our team. In this role, you’ll oversee the accuracy and quality of structural steel drafting works, ensuring that all drawings and models are compliant, constructible, and delivered to the highest standards. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to guarantee seamless project execution and alignment with Australian standards.

What You'll Do :

You'll be the kind of person who :

• Prepare and review structural steel shop drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures
• Ensure the accuracy, detail, and quality control of drafting works produced by local and international teams
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to clarify RFIs and technical specifications
• Oversee compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements across all deliverables
• Provide technical guidance to drafting staff, ensuring drawings are constructible and fabrication-ready
• Coordinate with fabrication and construction teams to resolve drafting and detailing issues
• Maintain drafting schedules to support smooth and timely project delivery
• Contribute to the improvement of drafting workflows and documentation standards

Requirements / Skills Needed : A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. 3+ years of experience in quantity surveying, technical writing in civil engineering or related industries. Strong technical writing and documentation skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems. Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple deadlines. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with technical teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with civil engineering and quantity surveying concepts and terminology.
