The Senior Category Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive category performance across both offline and online (O+O) platforms. This role focuses on the health and beauty segment, ensuring category relevance, increasing market share, and delivering sales, margin, and other income targets. The position requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to maximize business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead category strategy development and execution for the health and beauty segment to achieve growth and profitability targets.
- Develop category plans, product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies across O+O platforms.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and sales performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Build strong partnerships with key suppliers, negotiate terms, and optimize trade income.
- Drive omnichannel integration to enhance customer experience and category performance.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to execute category initiatives.
- Monitor competitor activities and ensure category remains competitive in pricing, promotions, and assortment.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of category managers / associates to ensure capability growth and high performance.
Key Requirements
57 years experience in category management or merchandising, preferably within the retail industry or FMCG companies.Prior experience in beauty and personal care category is highly preferred.Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making capability.Proven track record in omnichannel strategy and cross-functional project leadership.Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field .
