Overview
Tax Specialist role focusing on Transaction Tax Compliance within the Group. The position involves identifying tax saving opportunities, supporting tax planning projects, and liaising with government agencies on tax matters.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Tax Advisory Head in identifying tax saving opportunities for the Group and assist in the execution of the same (M&As, Projects with incentives).
- Assist the Tax Advisory Head in the execution of tax planning projects (documentation for SEC and BIR Ruling).
- Assist Tax Advisory Head in assisting BUs in the exercise of Administrative and Judicial Remedies relative to BIR audit (e.g. protest preparation and CTA cases assistance).
- Conduct research and, in consultation with the Tax Advisory Head, render tax opinions / assistance on various tax issues of different departments / BUs as well as contract reviews especially on their tax implications.
- Provide timely updates to the Group on the new tax regulations, tax rulings, court decisions and relevant issuances.
- Conduct Tax Health assessment of the BUs.
- Liaise with government agencies and other bodies on tax matters and tax projects.
- Conduct tax trainings within the Group.
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned.
Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in Tax (better if from Big 4 firms).Preferably with
