Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate an organizational team of professionals and managers that provide infrastructure refresh and mandate project management support to Visa client institutions and processors in the assigned region.
- Provide technical leadership for all client project implementation activities of infrastructure refresh and mandates with zero or minimal client impact.
- Lead the CEMEA Infrastructure Implementation Services team, fostering knowledge sharing and consistent client interaction.
- Act as a thought leader on implementing new Visa connectivity and products / services within Visa’s proprietary systems.
- Achieve operational objectives through strategic recommendations, progress tracking, action plans, productivity and quality improvements, and problem resolution.
- Serve as an escalation point for the team and liaison between senior management and the team.
- Establish department strategy in line with broader corporate and customer service objectives and goals.
- Build a strong and cohesive team through coaching, setting strategic direction, and applying knowledge of Visa products and procedures.
- Manage staff issues, including staffing selection, training, goal setting, coaching, annual reviews, compensation planning, and career development.
- Utilize customer service metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead complex cross‑regional or cross‑functional customer service projects and drive client and stakeholder acceptance of deliverables.
- Build relationships with regional and global technology teams to identify support or implementation gaps and create strategies to add value.
- Stay current with industry and client trends and maintain strong knowledge of Visa network rules and requirements.
- Oversee multiple projects, products, and services that require cross‑department collaboration.
- Hold direct reports accountable for development using Visa Leadership Principles and Reward & Recognition programs.
- Provide project management support to Visa clients and processors to exceed client expectations.
- Manage non‑routine, complex processing requests and tactical and strategic customer initiatives.
- Work off‑schedule, including late evenings and weekends, to support client and company configuration changes and post‑production validation.
Qualifications
Minimum 12 years of progressive leadership experience in client‑facing roles, preferably in the payments industry.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; advanced degree (MBA, PhD) preferred.Proven track record of leading technical or professional services teams to achieve goals and objectives.Strategic ability to solve complex global cross‑functional issues and lead high‑impact projects.Experience shaping and delivering professional services delivery strategy.Strong influence, negotiation, and analytical skills to drive results.Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, both internal and external.Functional experience in bankcard technology and project management, supporting complex clients.Solid knowledge of Visa’s payment systems, client connectivity, and settlement services.In‑depth knowledge of payments network and processing services.Fluency in English (written and spoken); fluency in Russian and French is an advantage.Experience in project management of retail banking, card schemes, or new payment technologies.Preferred Qualifications
Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills.Strong leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills; highly effective communicator.Proven ability to manage client expectations and multitask under tight deadlines.Additional Information
