Job Description Senior Analysts work on a variety of assignments, including business and business interest valuations, purchase price allocations, impairment testing, intellectual property valuations, complex financial instruments, stock options, and dispute consulting.
The Senior Analyst will play a key role in working with senior leaders to grow the Business Valuation Services Practice (the “Practice”) and deliver superior client service with technically sound and objective analysis and function in all facets of the Practice for the Northeast Region.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Regular duties include (but are not limited to) : Learn about our client companies and interview executive management Perform in-depth industry, market, and competitor research and valuation analysis on a wide range of public and private entities using all accepted approaches and theory Design financial models for discounted cash flow, guideline company analysis, intangible assets, transaction opinions and option pricing analyses Actively involved in the technical analysis and firm quality control requirements to ensure technical and functional accuracy Responsible for preparing comprehensive valuation reports to support and document our conclusions and outlining data pertinent to the engagement, market research, company valuations, and analysis of strategic and financial alternatives Present reports regarding analysis and conclusions of findings Remain current on new and changing technical applications Train and manage valuation staff Take an active role in the recruitment of new staff WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Experience Valuation Experience : 2+ years of relevant valuation experience is required.
Experience at regional or national valuation practices is preferred.
Well-rounded valuation expertise including experience with transaction-related valuations, financial reporting valuations (i.e., purchase price allocations, impairment testing, equity-based compensation, complex securities), ESOPs, and estate & gift planning valuations is a plus.
Minimum 2 years of constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including : DCF, comparable company, stock option, and intangible asset models Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Capital IQ and Bloomberg Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working with diverse teams Powered by JazzHR
