About the Role :
The Digital Building Engineer ensures that clients and partners receive the highest quality of fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) services. The role involves managing onboarding projects, configuring HVAC analytics, and supporting Clockworks analytics systems to ensure timely and accurate performance delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure clients and partners are delivered and supported with the highest quality fault detection and diagnostics product.
- Collaboratively complete onboarding projects and communicate timelines and milestones to ensure Clockworks analytics fulfills its role in a timely and high-quality manner.
- Conduct onboarding activities such as installing Data Collection Services, data discovery, and data organization for digital building systems.
- Troubleshoot and validate automated fault detection results on customers’ HVAC equipment.
- Review findings, validate results reported by the software, and provide recommendations.
- Train and engage customers and partner users on Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and networking-related issues.
- Provide ongoing support for connected Clockworks sites.
Important Requirement :
Must have configured HVAC analytics and built digital twin models of HVAC equipment in the past.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or 5–6 years of related industry experience.1–2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC, controls, or fault detection and diagnostics.Exposure to BAS protocols such as BACnet, Haystack, oBIX, and Modbus.Familiar with BAS networking principles.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Confident, self-motivated, and capable of quickly learning new technologies.Comfortable communicating with customers and partners.Ideally, exposure to automated ongoing commissioning, performance measurement, and verification.Ideally, familiar with metadata applications such as the use of tags and standards (e.g., Project Haystack).The Ideal Candidate :
Has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (or related degree) or significant field experience in a controls or services company.Possesses a certificate or equivalent experience in networking or computer fundamentals (familiar with firewall, server, and basic networking commands).Learns technical and engineering solutions quickly and strives for continuous improvement.Can communicate technical information effectively via phone and email.Can manage multiple projects across different countries simultaneously.Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in process improvement.Can conceptualize and communicate product development ideas to leadership teams.Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving work processes.Motivated to transform the built environment through innovative technologies and business models.Values collaboration, communication, and continuous learning.Preferred Experience :
