Accounting Assistant

OVERVIEW

The Accounting Associate is responsible for handling accounts payable transactions, preparing purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, and supporting compliance with financial reporting. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and strong coordination skills with both suppliers and internal teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders according to approved requisitions.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Track and monitor deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
• Review, verify, and process supplier invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
• Match invoices against purchase orders and receiving reports.
• Process payments according to credit terms and maintain AP records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and maintain supplier files.
• Assist in preparing schedules for financial reports and audits.
• Provide administrative and inventory support to the accounting team.
