We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Director to lead and scale our global finance team. This role will oversee all aspects of financial management, with a strong focus on the Philippines (our primary market), while also supporting our businesses in Thailand, Brazil, and others. The Finance Director will be a key member of the leadership team, driving strategic financial planning, ensuring compliance with local and global regulatory requirements, and enabling sustainable growth through sound financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning
- Lead the development of financial strategies aligned with Coins.ph’s growth objectives
- Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across all markets
- Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive leadership team on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
- Financial Operations & Control
- Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting functions for all entities
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance with IFRS / GAAP, and adherence to local tax and regulatory requirements (especially BSP requirements in the Philippines)
- Optimize capital allocation, cash flow management, and working capital efficiency
- Global Oversight with PH Focus
- Manage the finance team in the Philippines as the central finance hub, while providing oversight and support for finance operations in Thailand, Brazil, and other markets
- Ensure consistent financial processes, policies, and systems are implemented across all geographies
- Partner with local GMs and country leads to provide strategic financial guidance
- Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global finance team
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Business Development) to enable business growth
- External Stakeholder Management
- Lead relationships with auditors, tax advisors, regulators, and external partners
- Support investor reporting and fundraising activities
- Represent Coins.ph in financial discussions with key partners, banks, and regulators
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; CPA or CFA strongly preferred8+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 4 years in a senior finance management roleProven track record in fintech, payments, or financial services industryDeep knowledge of Philippine financial regulations (BSP, BIR, SEC), with exposure to international marketsStrong expertise in financial strategy, corporate finance, treasury, and taxExperience leading regional or global finance teams in a fast-scaling environmentExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical mindset, with ability to balance detail orientation with strategic vision#J-18808-Ljbffr
