Job Description

• Data Model Design

Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using tools like Erwin Data Modeler.

• Design data structures optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability within the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Data Integration & Mapping

Define and document data mappings for ETL processes and integrations across multiple components of the Enterprise Data Platform, utilizing tools like Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.

• Data Access & Security

Implement and manage Unity Catalog for metadata management and access control within Azure Databricks.

• Ensure compliance with internal and external data security and privacy standards.
• Data Optimization & Performance Tuning

Design and optimize data models to enhance query performance, scalability, and storage efficiency.

• Apply partitioning, indexing, and other performance-enhancing techniques.
• Metadata Management

Track and manage metadata across data models in the Enterprise Data Platform.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical data designs and solutions.

• Version Control

Manage version control of data models, ensuring that changes are tracked and communicated across teams.

• Oversee change management processes for updates and revisions.
• Documentation

Create and maintain data dictionaries, ERDs, and other technical documentation to support ongoing and future developments in the Enterprise Data Platform.

The Successful Applicant

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data integration.
• Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin or similar tools.
• Strong working knowledge of relational and cloud-based databases and design approaches.
• Familiarity with Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Azure Medallion Architecture.
• Experience in designing and implementing governance and security policies for data access.
• Proficiency in metadata management and tracking data lineage.
• Proficient in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models using tools like Erwin Data Modeler , with a strong understanding of normalization, denormalization, and schema design for analytics and operational systems.
• Proficient in defining data flows, transformation logic, and data integration strategies.
