Overview
Medical Receptionist Subject Matter Expert (SME) role leading training, evaluation, and support for virtual medical receptionists who serve clinics across the U.S. This role aims to build confidence, clarity, and excellence into every intake call and scheduling interaction.
Role : This position is for the MMM Support Team

Responsibilities
Instruction & Training Delivery
- Teach foundational front-desk workflows : scheduling, intake, EMR navigation, triage, and insurance verification
- Lead live and recorded training sessions on tone, task flow, call handling, and escalation timing
- Facilitate simulations and mock calls to build fluency and professionalism
Evaluation & Performance Assessment
Conduct Skills Evaluation Interviews (SEIs) to assess core task readiness and communicationTrack learner progress via Salesforce, TalentLMS, and internal toolsPartner with Training Ops for targeted retraining plansLead recovery training for returning VAs, focusing on confidence, professionalism, and skill rebuildingBuild or refine training content on EMR messaging, appointment prep, de-escalation, and related topicsRecommend content updates based on learner trends, clinic protocol shifts, and feedbackLearner Support & Technical Guidance
Provide real-time support through practice calls, live sessions, or chat coachingFlag repeated challenges to the SME Lead for content or curriculum adjustmentsCompliance & Documentation
Reinforce HIPAA and privacy protocols in training sessions and mock scenariosTeach proper documentation practices, including call summaries and audit-ready notesQualifications
Minimum 3 years of front-desk experience in a U.S. medical or dental settingHands-on familiarity with insurance verification, EMR systems, and multi-provider calendar schedulingBackground in instruction, coaching, or virtual training (preferred)Confident leading live training sessions, SEIs, and mock walkthroughsSkilled in designing mock scenarios and building training content in Canva and TalentLMSFamiliar with HIPAA protocols and U.S.-based front-desk workflowsExperience as a VA or remote medical receptionist is a strong plusProficient in platforms like TalentLMS, Salesforce, and Google WorkspaceStrong verbal and written communication; clear, patient, and professionalBackground in instructional design or curriculum building is a major advantagePerks of Working With My Mountain Mover
