Job Summary
The Finance Junior Executive for General Ledger - Inventory is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory financial records within the NetSuite ERP system, specifically leveraging the Inventory Module. This role ensures precise recording of inventory transactions, reconciles inventory accounts, supports month-end and year-end closing processes, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong accounting knowledge, a deep understanding of inventory management principles, and proficiency with NetSuite.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor the integrity of inventory-related general ledger transactions in NetSuite
- Regularly review inventory-related transactions including but not limited to :
Good receipts (GR); Fulfillment (Outlet Transfers); Adjustments
Report irregularities (e.g., item fulfillment discrepancies) and initiate corrective action prior to the General Ledger (GL) closing.Identify gaps between Zeoniq Outlet inbound report with NetSuite Item Fulfillment Report Perform Cost of goods sold (COGS) computation, Reconcile Inventory Accounts, including valuation, and other related accountsCalculate the COGS using appropriate costing methods within NetSuite.Compare stock ledger balances with month-end and year-end stocktake reports including NetSuite General Ledger (GL) balance tie-up.Investigate any variances between stock ledger balances and stocktake reports.Summarize reconciliation outcomes, including any issues or variances, for management review.Prepare and implement necessary inventory adjustment entries to correct discrepancies, with proper approval and documentation.Compliance & Reporting
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including inventory reconciliation and reporting.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control policies regarding inventory valuation.Prepare reports related to inventory costs, valuation, and inventory turnover metrics.Coordination & Support
Collaborate with supply chain, operations and other teams to ensure accurate recording of inventory movements and adjustments.Work closely with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to explain inventory
