Job Summary
The Private Banking Head will lead the bank's private banking business for the Hong Kong market, driving growth and strengthening client relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), family offices, and business leaders. The role requires a strong network in Hong Kong and deep expertise in wealth management, investment advisory, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and client acquisition initiatives in the Hong Kong private banking market.
- Manage and expand relationships with HNWIs, ultra-HNWIs, family offices, and key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic direction for wealth management solutions, investment advisory, and estate planning.
- Oversee a team of relationship managers and ensure delivery of high-quality client service.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in Hong Kong and BDO Unibank standards.
- Represent the bank in high-level business, client, and industry engagements.
Qualifications
Strong professional network and client connections in the Hong Kong financial and private banking market.Proven track record in private banking, wealth management, or investment advisoryPrevious work experience in Hong Kong private banking / financial institutions; currently based in Hong Kong (or Manila with willingness to relocate to Hong Kong)Strong leadership, people management, and business development skills.Deep understanding of investment products, global markets, and wealth solutions.Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with cross-cultural adaptability.Seniority level
