Job Description

Lead the SEO recovery and growth strategy for an established Australian services company, focusing on rebuilding their organic search presence and achieving local search dominance. You’ll have full autonomy to implement your SEO expertise while working directly with business owners who value long-term organic growth over quick fixes. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing business while being treated as a permanent team member rather than a temporary contractor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive SEO audit and develop strategic recovery plan from previous agency challenges
• Clean up and address bad backlinks while rebuilding domain authority through strategic link building
• Optimize for high-value local search terms and improve Google Maps rankings
• Develop targeted SEO strategies for both construction and events market segments
• Monitor and improve organic search visibility and local search performance
• Collaborate on content strategy to support long-term organic growth objectives
• Scale SEO efforts to support business expansion into new product lines and markets

Requirements

Requirements : Proven experience in SEO recovery, domain authority rebuilding, and local search optimization Strong background with Google My Business optimization and local search strategies Expertise in backlink analysis, cleanup processes, and white-hat link building Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush and comprehensive understanding of search algorithms Experience working with service industries, preferably construction or events sectors Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication and reporting Track record of delivering measurable organic growth results for small to medium businesses
