Senior Accountant

 Direct the organization’s overall financial plans, policies, and accounting practices for the recording and maintenance of its fiscal records and financial reports. Responsible for the entire range of accounting / financial activity in a division or smaller entity, including budget, financial forecasting, audit investment, and tax accounting. Work is performed with significant autonomy and guided by regulation and generally accepted accounting practice.

2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

2.1 Ensures maintenance of effective internal controls to assure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statements.

2.2 Prepares monthly financial statements and ensures their accuracy and timeliness.

2.3 Ensure compliance with any and all financial and contract reporting requirements for

private and public funding, licensing, or regulatory agencies.

2.4 Assists in resolving accounting and financial problems and / or issues.

2.5 Ensures complete and up-to-date operating procedures for all accounting and

financial controls.

2.6 Orchestrates and directs the preparation of corporate and departmental annual

budgets and cash flows projections.

2.7 Ensures proper preparation for annual financial audit.

2.8 Reviews all receipts and disbursements, ascertains correct account distribution and

ensuring all support documentation is accurate and in order.

2.9 Assists in preparing special cost studies as required by management.

2.10 Perform additional duties as requested by the General Manager.

3.0 EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

3.1 Educational Attainment :

 College graduate of BSBA – Accountancy preferably CPA

3.2 Work Experience :

 At least fifteen (15) years of related experience

3.3 Others Skills :

 Thorough understanding of profit accounting, bookkeeping and financial management information requirements.

 Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

 Computer literate

 Must know how to drive and must possess a valid driver’s license.
