Job Title : Web Analytics Engineer
Schedule : M-F, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm
Salary : $1,200-1,800 / month
We're looking for a Web Analytics Engineer to lead the development and upkeep of our dataLayer and Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementation. In this highly technical yet cross-functional role, you’ll collaborate with engineers, marketers, and product managers to build a robust, privacy-compliant measurement infrastructure. Your work will ensure that everything from campaign pixels to GA4 360 reporting is accurate, scalable, and actionable.

Responsibilities :
- DataLayer & GTM Implementation
- Own and evolve our custom dataLayer architecture in collaboration with development teams.
- Build, manage, and troubleshoot GTM tags, triggers, and variables.
- Ensure a consistent and scalable tracking infrastructure across all digital touchpoints.
- Pixel & Consent Management
- Implement and monitor marketing pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, etc.).
- Enforce privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA) by integrating consent logic across all tracking mechanisms.
- Investigate signal loss or data discrepancies and perform rigorous QA.
- Looker Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain scalable LookML models, Explores, and dashboards.
- Create intuitive, self-service analytics environments for stakeholders across teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Translate business objectives into measurement specifications and implementation plans.
- Act as a strategic partner and point of contact for marketing, product, and engineering teams.
Requirements :
Proven experience in web analytics engineering or implementation; experience in DTC / e-commerce is a strong plus.Deep expertise with GTM, custom dataLayers, and pixel / tag management.Proficiency in GA4 360 and BigQuery, including experience with data pipelines and advanced querying.Strong command of LookML and Looker dashboarding best practices.Familiarity with privacy compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA) as they relate to tracking technologies.Ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams with clear, effective communication.Working knowledge of server-side tagging using Google Tag Manager (GTM Server).Familiarity with attribution modeling tools or conversion APIs (e.g., Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions).Understanding of fast-paced, high-growth e-commerce environments, particularly within direct-to-consumer (DTC) models.Tools to use
