The Junior Legal Officer shall provide legal support to the Association. He / she will assist in handling various legal tasks including the preparation and review of contracts, legal correspondence, and legal opinions under the guidance and supervision of the senior lawyer / s and the head of Legal Department. He / she will represent the Association before the courts, quasi‑judicial bodies, and regulatory agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent / appear on behalf of the Association before the courts, quasi‑judicial bodies (especially in criminal and labor cases) and other administrative and / or regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and review pleadings, position papers, motions and other papers
- Prepare and review legal correspondence and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research on legal issues, laws, jurisprudence and relevant rules and regulations
- Prepare court documents, including the gathering of evidence, and coordinate with internal and / or external stakeholders
- Prepare and review contracts / agreements
- Responsible for legal consulting and contract law
- Provide legal advice and opinions to internal stakeholders on various legal matters
- Liaise with the Association's external counsel
- Organize and manage legal documents
