Join our dynamic personal injury law firm as a Medical Records Clerk, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting daily operations and client care. This associate-level position involves managing medical documentation, coordinating with healthcare providers, and maintaining clear communication with clients throughout their cases. You'll be responsible for analyzing medical records, handling billing processes, and ensuring all documentation is properly organized and itemized. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within our legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful client outcomes in a fast-paced legal environment.

We seek a detail-oriented professional who maintains exceptional standards in all communications while consistently meeting deadlines and quotas. The ideal candidate excels at multitasking and adapts seamlessly between independent work and collaborative team environments, always upholding a professional demeanor in every interaction.

  • Maintain regular client communication and provide comprehensive status updates to healthcare providers
  • Draft professional request letters and obtain final medical balances for case resolution
  • Assemble, organize, and itemize client medical bills with precision and accuracy
  • Analyze medical records and bills to ensure completeness and accuracy for case proceedings
  • Process Health Insurance Subrogation Claims and confirm corresponding lien agreements are properly filed

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, supported by a verifiable skills assessment or professional documentation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of documented professional experience in medical billing, medical records review, or lien / subrogation support.
  • Hands-on experience processing health insurance subrogation claims.
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally with healthcare providers, clinics, and medical practices.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing codes, insurance documentation, and medical balance reconciliation.
  • Ability to draft professional correspondence and request letters related to medical records and billing.
  • Experience organizing, assembling, and itemizing complex medical billing documentation in a structured manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and analyze medical records and bills for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and medical documentation.
  • Some college coursework preferred, ideally in healthcare administration, medical records management, or a related field.
