National Sales Manager (Pharmaceutical Industry)
S.V. More Group of Companies, a 100% Filipino-owned pharmaceutical marketing firm, is seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager to lead, coach, and energize our 200-strong ethical pharmaceutical sales force across multiple specialties.
This is a pivotal leadership role designed for a change-driver with proven success in turning around underperforming sales teams and embedding best-in-class sales force effectiveness systems. The position will focus exclusively on sales management and will work in close collaboration with Marketing, Medical, and Regulatory teams to drive aligned strategies and seamless execution.
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering sustainable double‑digit growth while ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations and internal governance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Commercial Leadership : Set and cascade quarterly / annual targets across teams and regions.
- Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) : Lead CRM adoption, incentive schemes, call plans, and performance dashboards.
- People Management : Recruit, onboard, coach, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Cross‑Functional Partnership : Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to align strategies.
- Change Leadership : Modernize sales practices including digital tools and value‑based selling.
- Governance & Compliance : Ensure ethical, compliant field practices aligned with PhAP and FDA guidelines.
- Budget Control / Management : Control operating budgets and deliver results within a ±5% variance.
- Capability Development : Mentor high‑potential team members and build a succession‑ready bench.
Success Metrics (12‑18 months)
100% resolution of personnel issues within policy timelines.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree holder preferably in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Business (MBA is an advantage).Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing large sales teams in the Philippine ethical pharmaceutical sales industry, with the last 3 years leading more than 50‑person team / s.Proven ability to turnaround underperforming districts and lead disciplinary processes.Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Business Intelligence (BI) tools, incentive compensation, and analytics.Excellent communication skills both in English and Filipino; a persuasive public speaker.Core Competencies
