We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer (Importation) to lead growth initiatives, manage key accounts, and strengthen partnerships in the importation industry. This role requires strong market knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to drive revenue by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities in the importation and trading sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, vendors, and clients.
- Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business growth.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and customers to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless end-to-end importation processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with government regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, and reports for management.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s overall business objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, or related field.Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the importation, logistics, or trading industry .Strong understanding of import / export regulations, documentation, and customs procedures.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Highly motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with CRM tools.Benefits
