As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities for the sales team. The SDR will become a trusted resource and develop relationships with prospects, acting as the initial point of contact. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about sales, highly motivated, and eager to learn and grow within the company.
This position is responsible for achieving (or exceeding) targets and business objectives by sourcing and securing new customers while maintaining and relationships with target prospects.
This position contributes to the overall success of the company by extending and enhancing their presence and reputation in the market, establishing customer partnerships, and structuring and delivering profitable contracts containing obligations that the company can consistently meet (or exceed).

Prospecting and Lead Generation
- Research and identify potential leads using various tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, industry publications, CRM databases).
- Initiate outbound contact through cold calling, emailing, and social media engagement to generate interest in the company's products / services.
- Qualify leads based on defined criteria to ensure they meet the company's ideal customer profile.
Initial Outreach and Relationship Building
Craft personalized and compelling messages to engage potential customers.Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospects' needs and pain points.Build and maintain relationships with potential clients through continuous follow-up and nurturing.Pipeline Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and interactions in the CRM system.Track and manage leads to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities for the sales team.Schedule meetings and product demos for the sales team with qualified leads.Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and improve lead generation efforts.Provide feedback to the marketing team on the effectiveness of campaigns and messaging.Share insights and best practices with the sales team to help improve overall performance.Performance Metrics and Reporting
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation and qualification targets.Provide regular reports on lead generation activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics.Continuously evaluate and improve personal performance based on feedback and metrics.Continuous improvement and collaboration

Experience selling technology solutions to Director and C-Level executives to SMB and midmarket enterprisesExperience meeting minimum outbound call volume and / or talk time goalsExcellent follow-up skillsStrong technology knowledgeSelf-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.Energetic and enjoy working in a quota-based environmentExceptional cold-call prospecting abilities using consultative phone skills, including the ability to relay information in a clear and friendly manner, inspire, overcome objections, and remain resolute throughoutRelevant business or ICT tertiary qualification and / or certificationMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and business developmentProven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Intermediate ICT skills (Microsoft Office suite, ConnectWise, HubSpot), good data entry skillsAvailability to work occasional evenings and weekends (for events)Ability to travel as needed, including being away from home for one or more nightsBenefits

Requirements
Requirements / Skills Needed : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in sales development, telemarketing, or appointment setting. Familiarity with the Australian market and business culture is a plus. Experience in B2B or B2C lead generation is an advantage. Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging prospects and building rapport. Ability to handle objections and remain professional under pressure. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a target-driven environment.
